Success Stories
After 90 days of residential treatment I was searching for a sober living environment to protect the investment I had already made in my sobriety. Project Recovery stood out to me because the house members were engaging and genuinely interested in me from my first visit. The other guys in the Men’s House became my brothers. They challenged me, held me accountable, and supported me like no one ever had before. They taught me not only how to enjoy life, laugh, and live the way I always wanted to (something that for so long I felt incapable of), but also to be more comfortable and confident without drugs and alcohol. I didn’t know that was possible for me. Recovery has allowed me to grow in ways I never would have otherwise. I’ve developed life-long friendships with people whom I admire and I have been plugged into a fellowship where I am an active and respected member today. I recently picked up a chip celebrating one year of continuous sobriety and I have the house members and incredible staff at Project Recovery to thank for showing me it was possible.

Hi, my name is Kristin Hargrove and I am a recovering addict. In August of 2008, I went into a residential rehabilitation center for substance abuse. When it came time for me to leave my program and be released back into the big, wide world I was terrified to take such a huge step, so I took a baby step instead. I chose to go to a structured sober living house called Project Recovery. Project Recovery is a beautiful, renovated mansion located right in the middle of downtown Salt Lake City. I love being so centrally located to opportunities, resources and transportation. Project Recovery provides a safe, structured environment to help me gain responsibility and create a schedule that can adhere to a way of sober living. It also gives me an opportunity to work with other women and be supportive to them in their recovery. I am very pleased with what Project Recovery has already taught me and I am excited to continue to learn from them.
